The lovely owner of this Alamo Square, San Francisco home from 1952 referred to it in emails as a “naked lady” rather than a Painted Lady and I found that so delightful. Its makeover was just finished last week, and I made a last minute run to Victoriana SF for a decorative floral medallion to put in the center of the two roof peaks. You can see that it was painted red with a touch of gold leaf in the center. Work was completed by CertaPro Painters of San Francisco (hey, it’s worth a shot).
